The Chainway C66 is a rugged, handheld mobile computer with a Qualcomm octa-core 2.0 GHz processor and 5.5″ HD display, designed for versatile data collection, UHF RFID options, and enterprise connectivity in both field and indoor operations.​

• Flexible power configuration: 4420 mAh removable main battery (standard), 5200 mAh main battery for versions with fingerprint or built-in UHF, plus optional 5200 mAh handle battery; all support fast charging and all-day operation.​

Rugged design and ergonomics

• Compact and robust housing with dimensions 160.0 × 76.0 × 15.5 / 17.0 mm and weight 287–297 g including battery (depending on fingerprint / built‑in UHF configuration).​
• Operating temperature range from -20 ℃ to +50 ℃ and storage from -40 ℃ to +70 ℃, 5%–95% RH non‑condensing.​
• High durability: IP65 sealing (IP67 optional), multiple 1.8 m drops to concrete across the operating range, up to 2.4 m drops with rubber bumper, 1000 × 0.5 m tumbles and ESD protection ±15 kV (air) / ±8 kV (contact), tested to MIL‑STD‑810H.​

• Advanced wireless connectivity: dual-band Wi‑Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax‑ready) with Wi‑Fi 6 readiness, fast roaming, IPv4/IPv6 support and enterprise-grade security (WEP, WPA/WPA2/WPA3, EAP suites, etc.).​
• Wide 2G/3G/4G LTE band coverage for Europe, Asia and the Americas, ensuring reliable cellular data and voice (Vo‑LTE HD) where supported by the model.​

  • UHF1 (back clip): EPC C1 GEN2 / ISO18000‑6C, circularly polarised antenna, up to 1 W or 2 W, fastest read rate 1300+ tags/s, max read range up to 32 m depending on tag type.
  • UHF2 (C66 + R6 sled): EPC C1 GEN2 / ISO18000‑6C with support for GS1 EPC Gen2v2 Authenticate and ISO/IEC 29167‑11, circularly polarised antenna, up to 2 W, read range up to ~31 m.​
  • UHF3 (built‑in): EPC C1 GEN2 / ISO18000‑6C, linear polarised antenna, up to 1 W, read range around 2.4–2.7 m; this built‑in UHF version does not support the pistol handle.​
• NFC at 13.56 MHz supporting ISO14443A/B, ISO15693, NFC-IP1/IP2 and common NFC cards/tags with typical read distance of 2–4 cm.​

Fingerprint recognition and camera

• Optional fingerprint recognition with TCS1 or TLK1NC02 sensors, 508 dpi resolution, FIPS 201 / STQC / FBI certifications, support for ISO 19794, WSQ, ANSI 378, JPEG2000 formats, fake finger detection via SDK, and AES/DES encryption of the host communication channel; fingerprint versions do not support the pistol handle.​
• Rear 13 MP autofocus camera with flash, supporting facial recognition compliant with ISO19794‑5, suitable for identity verification, proof-of-delivery and photo documentation.​

Interfaces, keys and accessories

Rich accessory ecosystem: separate handle, handle with 5200 mAh battery, UHF back clip with handle (5200 mAh), wrist strap, rubber bumper, charging cradle and lanyard, enabling flexible deployment in warehousing, retail, logistics, public safety and field service scenarios.​

Interfaces include USB Type‑C (USB 3.1, OTG, extended pogo pins), 1 Nano SIM slot and 1 Nano SIM/TF hybrid slot, dual microphones (one with noise cancellation), speaker, receiver, and LED/vibration feedback.​
