The A1163 True NearField™ is a RAIN RFID antenna from the True NearField™ Series, designed for “near zone only” applications that demand highly precise on-surface reads, even in the presence of metal, liquids, and other RF-challenging materials.
Key features
- True NearField™ design that concentrates the read field exclusively in the near zone, ensuring high-accuracy, item-level tracking with minimal interference and no dead zones.
- Reliable performance in complex environments such as retail stores, offices, and areas with metal structures or liquids, maintaining stable on-surface reading.
- Generous read area of 600 × 300 mm, making it particularly well-suited for retail applications and the scanning of multiple items aligned on the same surface.
Mechanical and electrical data
- Dimensions: 600 × 300 × 8.5 mm with flat radome, or 604 × 304 × 8.5 mm with formed radome, to accommodate different mechanical layouts.
- Frequency ranges: 902–928 MHz (FCC) and 865–868 MHz (ETSI), supporting global RAIN RFID deployments.
- Near-field polarization with far-field equivalent gain of -12.5 dBi and IP54 rating, suitable for indoor installations with protection against dust and light splashes.
Design and installation
- Available in black or white, with a choice of flat or formed radome, allowing seamless integration into counters, shelving, and display solutions both aesthetically and functionally.
- Integrated rear mounting holes and optional self-adhesive rubber feet enable flexible, low-profile installation without visible screws.
- Backed by a dedicated mounting guide, detailed mechanical drawings, and STEP files for fast integration into OEM systems and custom projects.
Typical applications
RAIN RFID solutions in environments with metal and liquids, such as displays, demo tables, or customer service stations where near-field read quality is critical.
Retail applications on shelves, counters, or worktables where the read zone must be precisely confined to the surface area.
Office and front-office environments for document identification, asset tracking, and handling of sensitive materials placed directly on the antenna.
