The Chainway MC62 is a lightweight, compact mobile computer with an ergonomic keypad, high‑performance octa‑core processor, 4‑inch display and 5000 mAh removable battery, designed for intensive one‑handed use in warehousing, logistics, transportation and retail applications.​

Performance and battery

  • High‑performance platform featuring a 2.0 GHz octa‑core CPU, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage, expandable via Micro SD (TF) card up to 256 GB.​
  • 5000 mAh removable battery with quick‑charge support, delivering full‑shift runtime while keeping the device compact and light at only 256 g including battery.​

Ergonomics and rugged design

  • One‑hand optimised design with keypad layout engineered to reduce fatigue and improve productivity in scanning and data entry workflows.​
  • IP67 sealing, 1.5 m drop resistance to concrete and 1000 × 0.5 m tumbles at room temperature, with operating temperature from -20 °C to +50 °C and 5–95% non‑condensing humidity.​

Display, input and interfaces

  • 4‑inch 480 × 800 display with multi‑touch panel supporting glove and wet‑hand operation, combined with main keypad, 2 scan keys and multi‑function keys.​
  • Physical interfaces: USB Type‑C (USB 2.0, OTG), 1 SIM slot plus 1 combined SIM/TF slot, speaker, receiver and 2 microphones (one for noise reduction), with notification via sound, LED and vibration.​

Connectivity

  • Dual‑band 2.4/5 GHz Wi‑Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with 802.11d/e/h/i/j/k/r/v/w features) for reliable enterprise WLAN connectivity.​
  • Cellular modem supporting 2G/3G/4G bands, Bluetooth 5.0 and multi‑constellation GNSS (GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo) for field mobility and tracking.​

Data capture, NFC and RFID

  • Optional 2D scan engine (Zebra SE4710 or CM60) supporting major 1D and 2D symbologies including UPC/EAN, Code 128, QR, DataMatrix, PDF417 and postal codes.​
  • NFC at 13.56 MHz compliant with ISO14443A/B, ISO15693 and NFC‑IP1/IP2, supporting M1 cards (S50/S70), CPU cards and NFC tags with a typical read range of 2–4 cm.​
  • Optional UHF RFID configurations based on Impinj Gen2X chips available for identification and inventory workflows, with details provided in dedicated RFID datasheets.​

Software and development

  • Android operating system with GMS support, combined with the Chainway Software Development Kit, Java and Eclipse/Android Studio tools for smooth integration into enterprise applications and management systems.​
