The Chainway R2 is a handheld Bluetooth UHF RFID reader with an ergonomic design, built on a self‑developed module using Impinj E Series chips, providing long‑range, high‑speed reading ideal for bulk inventory, logistics, warehousing and asset tracking.​

• High‑performance RFID engine based on Impinj E Series with Impinj Gen2X support, EPC C1 GEN2 / ISO18000‑6C protocols, linear polarised antenna and read speed over 900 tags/s.​
• Read distance up to approximately 26–31 m in open outdoor, low‑interference environments, depending on tag type (Impinj MR6, M750, Alien H3 anti‑metal).​
• 1.77″ colour display (128 × 160) to show device status, tag counts, battery level and connection information.​

Power and ruggedness

• Removable 5200 mAh battery with over 70 hours of standby (with Bluetooth connected) and up to about 6 hours of continuous UHF reading; charging time 3–4 hours with standard adaptor and USB cable.​
• Dimensions 282 × 117.5 × 32 mm and weight 334 g (with battery), with a plastic housing designed for prolonged handheld use.​
• Multiple 1.5 m drops to concrete, operating temperature from -20 °C to +50 °C and storage temperature from -40 °C to +70 °C.​

Connectivity and interfaces

• Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 5.0 for wireless connection to Android and iOS hosts via dedicated SDKs (Java / Objective‑C).​
• USB Type‑C port for charging and wired data connection.​
• LED indicators for power, work status and Bluetooth, plus built‑in buzzer for audible feedback.​

Additional functions and usage environment

Designed for 5–95% non‑condensing humidity and ESD protection of ±15 kV air / ±8 kV contact, suitable for demanding industrial and retail environments.​

Cortex‑M3 72 MHz MCU with internal storage for up to 50,000 tags, enabling offline operation and buffered data collection.​

Optional 1D/2D barcode scanning via SE2707 engine, supporting major linear and 2D symbologies such as UPC/EAN, Code 128, QR, DataMatrix, PDF417 and postal codes.​
